Can you see yourself in one of these photos? We are forming a diverse team of specialists and generalists too, with a common core of caring about refugee children.

Your help will be greatly appreciated. We can offer modest pay for some categories of work, but if you can volunteer without pay… that would be best.
First, please fully explore our website. That way, we’ll all have the best chance to welcome and explore your talents and skills in the following areas:
- Business Plan – We can use your professional experience to help us create the strongest business plan possible. You will work closely with the Founder and a small creative team to translate many visions and goals into effective practical form.
- Non-Profit Status – We will seek pro-bono legal services from any lawyer or law firm to enable us to become a 501c3 corporation, to offer tax deductions to donors.
- Website and Social Media – Outreach to many audiences is critical for our success. While this website is a start, we aspire to create an active social media presence to form the best possible community, programs and facilities to benefit these children.
- Partnering – It’s crucial to approach like-minded entities of all kinds. This may include organizations such as the IRC, Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders. This may include universities, hospitals & government bodies. Can you help with this?
- Supporters & Donors – Although grant-writing is laborious and time-consuming, we may ultimately pursue grants, however in the short term it may be most practical to ask local entities and individuals for help. This may include companies such as IKEA, Home Depot, Lowe’s and others to donate materials. Home Depot in Tijuana has tentatively pledged donations. We may also conduct crowd funding strategies on platforms such as Kickstarter and Go Fund Me. Do you know Cheech Marin?
- Design & Construction – Our Founder is a professional designer/builder/developer, but we still need your help. Diverse ideas are welcome. Your unique perspective on the challenges our families and children face are of great value. While the basic program and building designs are well underway, we strongly feel that there is always great value in creative collaboration. Your input is sincerely invited.
- Making It Real – Concept is one thing — On-the-ground solutions need on-the-scene work. Can you help us with actual construction? This may mean final work on model building and creative component designs in our base in Los Angeles. It may take the form of liaisons with architects and builders in Los Angeles, San Diego and Tijuana. We must liaison with Realtors and/or property owners in Tijuana to find appropriate locations. It will ultimately require a small team of builders in Tijuana to erect our exciting and beautiful Centro de Ayuda de Asilo.
- Operational Staff – Do you have experience and skills to deliver services to our guests? Please see our Services page for needs and opportunities. Thanks!
- Fancy Stuff – While our core mission is to keep our families and children safe, there are also other ways we can celebrate the ways we care. This may include the many opportunities that our Omni Port can provide. This civic-minded Performing Arts Center will become a vibrant physical space that will nurture the arts in many ways. Please see the Omni Port page for more information. Let’s flex our artistic muscles!
